That day I ripped the towel rack off the wall..my frail arms seemed super human. The power of pain. I told mom that I must of knocked the door against it or maybe it was never put together properly & just fell apart - I was never put together properly & just fell apart. I would holler until even my voice would leave. Begging to the lady who always politely asked me to “please leave a message”. I’m sure they laughed together at nights when I cried in closets so not to wake my son, a two year old who would rub my face and tell me to smile - beg me to survive.
